Principles or Luck?

by Jide_DCI in Uncategorized

When it comes to achieving success, some individuals believe that luck is the deciding factor. People may say things such as “it’s all about being in the right place at the right moment” or “you never know what will happen, so you might as well take luck.” While it is true that luck can play a role in our lives, it is not a proven technique for achieving success. Following certain principles is a more effective way to achieve success.

These are a few reasons why adhering to principles is preferable to relying on luck:

1. Principles provide a clear path forward.

It is hard to forecast when luck may strike, as it is unpredictable. This makes planning for success difficult when luck is the primary method. Alternatively, adhering to principles provides a clear road forward. When you have a set of guiding principles, you may make better decisions regarding your actions and priorities. Principles can help you develop a more reliable and less dependent-on-luck road map to success.

2. Principles can be established and learned.

It is commonly believed that luck is beyond our control. You either possess it or you do not. Principles, on the other hand, are something that can be acquired and improved over time. By examining the experiences of great individuals, you can determine the ideas that lead to their success and use them in your own life. This implies that success is not exclusive to a select few, but is available to anyone who is prepared to study and apply the proper concepts.

3. Principles serve as the basis for resilience.

One of the greatest risks associated with relying on luck as a success strategy is that it can lead to a sense of entitlement. When we believe that luck determines success, we may feel entitled to it regardless of our activities or choices. This can result in a lack of resilience in the face of obstacles or setbacks. In contrast, adhering to principles lays the groundwork for resiliency. When we realize that success is the product of constant effort and adherence to particular principles, we are better able to recover from failures and maintain our focus on our objectives.

4. Principles result in more significant achievement.

Finally, adhering to principles can result in a deeper and more satisfying sense of accomplishment. When success is the result of luck, it might feel arbitrary and unrelated to our principles and objectives. In contrast, success earned by adhering to principles is more meaningful because it is based on our beliefs and principles. When we attain achievement by consistently applying principles, we might experience a satisfaction.
